“What is our responsibility when we receive, and become witnesses to, the memories of others?”

This critical question compelled Kristen Smiarowski to create THE KEY GAME PROJECT, a multi-year series of performance works and installations about the construction of cultural memory. Each work in the series is a memorial to the one that preceded it.

The project is currently in its third phase, titled Sleep, Staring, Well.
